It's about Australia, particularly Perth. Ah, Perth is a weird city. So many personalities and nowadays - so many fucking problems. This is about never being comfortable where you're at in life. I think all people here are like this, hence why Perth is pretty good - problematic, but pretty good. It's part whinge, part epiphany about why I live here.
I really screwed this a bit, so I fucked with the post-production (oh god forbid).
lyrics
{V1}
Another thirsty dusty plain, crying out for rain,
Living in rust is what she does;
Another box of emu from the camel, to lighten up my travels,
Oh pick up the slack, I think I'm starting to crack;
{CHORUS}
But I'm stuck, running out of luck;
Stuck in a dead end part of town, Stuck in a dead end part of town; (I'm stuck, running out of luck)
And I think I'm ready to go, and I think I'm ready to go,
And I think I'm ready to go, and I think I'm ready to go;
{V2}
The urge for tangled webs, that sunburnt spinefex,
I rather get bogged in her choking dust;
[I want] Her gentle warm caress, that crazy wild west!
Her country tracks are stuck between the shacks;
{CHORUS}
But I'm stuck, running out of luck;
Stuck in a dead end part of town, Stuck in a dead end part of town; (I'm stuck, running out of luck)
And I think I'm ready to go, and I think I'm ready to go,
And I think I'm ready to go, and I think I'm ready to go;
{CODA}
I'm packed I'll leave ya, I'll leave ya, I'll leave ya-a-a-a,
I'm packed I'll see ya, I'll leave ya behind;
I'm packed I'll leave ya, I'll leave ya, I'll leave ya-a-a-a,
I'm packed I'll see ya, I'll leave ya behind;
If you don't find it here, then you won't find it elsewhere, you won't find it elsewhere,
(I'm packing for the east, I'm packing for the east man,
I'm packing for the east, I'm packing for the east)
If you don't find it here, then you won't find it elsewhere;
(I'm packing for the east, I'm packing for the east,
I'm packing for the east, I'm packing for the east)
